Heather Lake Association works hard to make sure our community maintains its high standard of living. These members work hard and volunteer their time.
The Heather Lake Association board of directors generally meets every few months beginning in January. Minutes of theses meetings are approved and published by or at the following meeting.

Plans agenda for meetings (e-mails this 48 hours before meetings so Board Members can review); Leads all meetings; Determines date, time and location of next meeting; Calls lawyer for advice in the enforcement of the Bylaws and Declarations; Sends out Welcome Packet to new homeowners; Keeps owner/lot records.

Back-up to the President; Performs all duties of the President when requested by the President, or in his/er absence or disability; Other duties as may be determined by the Board.

Secretary – Tom Nutini - heatherlake.assoc.secretary@gmail.com
Manages association website content together with website administrator; Takes Board minutes reflecting attendance, decisions, discussions, time adjourned (publishes them on the HOA website only if 20% of owners present); Writes and distributes quarterly newsletter discussing new Board decisions, and community activities (emails copy to Attorney); Picks up HOA mail and checks HOA e-mail on a weekly basis; Records annual elections (keeps records for 5 years).

Manages all association funds; Sends out invoices (keeps bank statements for 7 years); Prepares the annual budget for Board approval; Follows up on delinquent fees and files liens as determined by Board; Files taxes (keeps for 7 years); Corresponds with insurance company regarding Personal Liability, Indemnity Clause, and Proper Fidelity Bonding (keeps claims for 10 yrs., correspondence 5 yrs.); Provides the Board with monthly financial reports.

Parks and Common Grounds Coordinator – Rita Mitchell - heatherlake.assn.commongrounds@gmail.com
Obtains competitive bids for projects over $25,000; Obtains written and signed contracts with specific dates of service and renewal provisions with a clause that allows for termination in the event of no/poor performance; Checks insurance coverage of contractors and gets written copy; Checks warranties and files for refunds if applicable; Periodically inspects contractor performance; Maintains signs and common areas; Determines maintenance priorities.
Deed Restrictions Coordinator – Chris Rouser - heatherlake.assoc.deedrestrict@gmail.com
Inspects properties twice a year and as needed for violations of rules and Regulations (takes pictures); Documents communications of concerns with said owners; Receives, investigates and resolves any owner complaints made in writing; Obtains Architectural requests by owners for structural modifications and additions for review by Board; Updates/reviews Declarations and Amendments with Board every two years (requires a 75% owner approval to change); Follows due process for enforcement of violations as documented in Bylaws (i.e. Friendly letter outlining violation, 2nd letter sent via certified mail with clear deadline for correction, 3rd notice of Intent to Enforce sent by certified mail discussing hearing procedures and fees to be charged within 10 days of receipt); Keeps records of all actions for 7 years.

Architectural Review Coordinator –
Reviews construction plans submitted by residents and makes recommendations to the board, updates HLA welcome packet and provides the information to new residents, monitors home sales in Heather Lake, updates/maintains a list of current residents.
