HEATHER LAKE ASSOCIATION - Fairfield County, Ohio
Bylaws Information
Do you know the difference between Covenants and Bylaws? If not, you're likely not alone. But, as a member of Heather Lake Association, it's important to understand the authority and purpose of each of these governing documents.
Covenants govern land and properties in our community, are enforceable by legal action, and binding not only to the original owner, but also to subsequent buyers of the property.
Bylaws govern how the board shall operate. It outlines the administrative and corporate procedures for the management of the Association's affairs. It defines the board member's roles and responsibilities, terms, and meetings.
The Ohio Planned Community Act, when passed in 2010, mandates that all homeowner associations within the State of Ohio adopt a set of Bylaws.
